Principal's Message

Greetings Hospital Homebound Families!

My name is Kelly Simmons, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Supervisor for the Hospital Homebound and Home-Based Program for Hillsborough County Public Schools. I come to you with more than 20 years of experience and most recently served as Principal at Dorothy Thomas Exceptional Center here in Hillsborough County.

I look forward to working with you and supporting our students and families as we strive to ensure every student has access to a quality education.

Our goal here at Hospital Homebound/Home-Based Instruction is to ensure that students continue to receive educational support and access to instruction while they are unable to attend school in person.

As the leader of the Hospital Homebound and Home-based Instruction program, it has enlightened me to what a truly exceptional service we provide.  Teachers, staff, families, and dedicated service providers come together with one goal in mind...to support the whole child.  We are the Hospital Homebound Hawks!
